The fruit weighs between 6 to 8 ounces, features a globe shape, smooth exterior, and medium firmness with an appealing texture. It showcases a rich deep red hue both inside and out. These high-yielding plants are of medium size and exhibit broad adaptability. Defiant has been selectively bred to carry the major genes Ph-2 and Ph-3 which provide robust resistance to late blight (Phytophthora).
