In 1975, we started with just 50 seeds of this renowned heirloom from Northern Michigan. This variety matures early, featuring medium-sized ears that measure 7–8" and are adorned with glossy yellow kernels topped with white caps. It dries swiftly in the field, making it ideal for shorter growing seasons. Although it may not produce exceptionally high yields, the sweet flavor of Nothstine makes it worthwhile to cultivate. It’s a fantastic option for crafting both cornmeal and flour. These plants grow as tall as 7' and develop on single stalks. Certified Organic by the USDA.
